Weekday Denim

As a blogger I really try to be true to myself and my audience and pair with brands I love. Sometimes when a new retailer comes along it's hard to make that call. So when Weekday asked me to let my followers know they had a new store on Regent Street in London, I thought I'd ask around. I hadn't heard of them before... Silly old me.

You see, when I asked my sister she stopped dead in the street and said, "They do the best denim known to man." Another friend who's choice of jeans I'd admired for years announced hers always come from there and she buys them in bulk whenever she goes home to Stockholm. As you can imagine I was curious. I googled the brand a bit and found they were already stocked on ASOS and I'd actually bought a jumper from them last year, that remains a faithful "throw on" when the sun goes down in summertime.

You see Weekday has somewhat of a cult following, which had completely gone over my head. The Scandi's swear by it - bored of the obvious offerings we still lap up in the UK (H&M, COS, etc). So, off I trotted to Regent Street to see what all the fuss was about. Half an hour later I emerged with five pairs of jeans, three tops (including the one I'm wearing, here) and some jewellery later (seriously though they're hoops are just so good and so cheap, check out these ones for £7).

They do loads of styles, loads. Hence buying five. I thought I was done when I discovered Dr Denim, and although they are really good Weekday's are that bit cheaper ranging from £30 to £40 a pair. Jeans shopping isn't fun and one thing I'd say about Weekday is listen to friends when it comes to sizing. Their straight jeans are true to size, skinny jeans come up small and boyfriend style come up big. The denim feels well made, as heavy as a Levi's pair. I've had quite a few compliments on them, and the skinny style I bought, here.

Other things I liked in Weekday will appear on my Instagram in due course, but do take a look at the slogan tees and basic sweaters (which are super soft inside even after washing). I really liked their "Rainbow Collection" which is essentially a group of 7 tees in different colours with different slogans on, check them out here. Oh and if you're anything like me, give your boyfriend some obvious jokes and wear this tee in front of him.

If you're thinking of buying on ASOS because you know that platform, like the returns policy, etc - then do make sure Weekday doesn't have a stronger offer. For example, having now experienced their online returns I really have to recommend them (I bought another top that was too big) and they have a further 20% off their denim - meaning my jeans were from £21 to £32 quid. Can you really beat that?! Find the offer here. Enjoy!
