[Outfit] New Bag for the Birthday Girl

As I mentioned, yesterday was my birthday. It started on a massive high with a lovely gift from LK Bennett the night before at their blogger event (this rather wonderful Emma handbag) which I was slightly taken aback by (thank you, Holly and the team). On our way out for brunch at Dean Street Townhouse, Sarah and I took a couple of snaps (see her post here) - I think the builders on the mews think we are absolutely nuts, or tourists.

I was feeling a little delicate after too much champagne, so I wore some of my trusty favourites (and essential sunglasses to hide the night before). My red Gap jeans were bought years ago and are serving me incredibly well, and the denim top was a bargain from Topshop in the sales (I blogged about it here). My Converses are looking pretty tired, but I can't get out of the habit of wearing them! The gloves (below) are from Etre and are possibly the most amazing pair I have ever owned - with a finger and thumb spare I can text and manage without ever having to take them off, they're super comfy too!

Today I am off to Somerset House to do some work with the lovely Claire from Bo Belle as she prepares to launch her rather brilliant new collections (follow her on Twitter here) and then am looking forward to a night in with comfort food and cr*p TV - it has been an absolutely manic week!  Thank you again to LK Bennett for a lovely evening (their Caroline Issa collaboration is going to be amazing) and thank you to everyone who sent me birthday messages yesterday - really meant a lot!

Happy belated birthday! It sounds like you had a lovely day - how could it not be with a new handbag and champers!! Lovely outfit too - you just look relaxed and cool, perfect off duty attire!
Very jealous you got to see the LK Bennett Caroline Issa collection - I can't wait for it to arrive. Any shoe with pom poms is very up my street! XX
