I'm getting very up with this weather in the UK - one minute it is blazing sunshine, the next it's pouring down. Regardless I am determined to dress for summer. Over our long weekend (thank you, Queen Elizabeth) I popped into H and M and spotted a pair of fab scalloped shorts for a bargain £9.99 (here).
Scalloping has been around for a while now (arguably started by Chloe's SS09 collection) - I bought a gorgeous white satin fully scalloped skirt from Topshop last year and find myself wearing it all the time. It's a very easy way to jazz up a basic outfit - pair it with simple tees and jackets, and preferably some sun kissed pins - and let the detail do the talking. Am a particular fan of all-white or monochrome outfits with scalloping. As in these piccies....
