Although styled as a nautical piece here, you really can wear a cape all the time - I have one a friend got for me at a vintage fair, and live in it. In fact I don't, my sister does - she stole it to go to Paris and I haven't seen it since. And she's very particular with her clothes so I took it as a massive compliment...
