Key Trend Piece: Celine Classic / Reiss Grafton Bag

When Phoebe Philo at Celine graced the catwalks with the most simple (therefore iconic) handbag yet this century (Vogue's quote not mine) - you could argue she was changing fashion forever.  With the Classic Bag (below) she stripped the handbag back to its purest form and created a perfectly formed and useful design classic, that I, among many, many people, need.  BUT - it's a lot of money...

So I am really, really sorry to do this to you so closely after my Zara City Bag post, but I have found another little gem that you really need to purchase.  It was a matter of time until a high street name picked up on this look - and if anyone was going to nail a simple concept and make it into something quite special, it was going to be Reiss.  Here is their Grafton bag, which at £120 isn't cheap - but is a hell of a lot cheaper than Celine...

It has a larger buckle, but what you can't see on the photos is that the structure is something quite beautiful.  Very strong and carries it's own je ne sais quoi... I'm in love with it.

Here's someone (with the wrong knickers on for that dress) wearing it - I want it NOW!

The Reiss bag is one little beauty... I must have a look at it properly some time soon. I've been in love with Celine forever, but the love grew stonger when Phoebe moved in the house.

And since you like classic style and chic, I would like to invite you to join a giveaway on my blog. Of course, if you like the prize. :)

Have a wonderful weekend!
