*Wardrobe Basics With Ralph Lauren

As followers of my Instagram will already know, I went to over to New York for a long weekend at the beginning of November. One of my best friends lives over there , our birthdays are 5 days apart (and we've done all the big birthdays together) o we decided to celebrate together once again. Timing was perfect as I'd just seen the guys from Ralph Lauren who asked me to pair up with them to show you a selection of their classics...

Putting it out there, who hasn't owned one of their shirts or cable knits? University lectures were essentially a sea of Ralph Lauren stuff. I lived in my grey one, in fact it's still a firm fixture in my Sunday uniform. I have four of the Oxford shirts. Yep, four. A white and a blue in two sizes - the one in these pictures are the smaller size which I wear under jumpers and dresses etc, etc - and then bigger ones to wear on their own. Mildly ridiculous but perhaps indicates how much I really like them...

The trousers are from them too. They are asking for a Dad joke ("err you've got something on your trousers, Anna") but I really love them. I wore them again at the weekend with a denim shirt and my trainers. There is a misconception that all of Ralph Lauren's stuff is really expensive but these are the same price as trousers I'd buy any where else... Find them here.

I guess what I'm saying is, don't forget to go back to Ralph. The old stuff is still amazing, but their collections really are quite something and between all the different sub-brands within the overarching group (Lauren, Polo, RL...) there is something for everyone. Keep an eye on my Instagram here and you'll see the other stuff I picked up, including a brilliant pair of silk printed trousers and the puffa jacket of dreams. Really very impressed.
