I've already blogged about these suede culottes and they're definitely a "marmite" fashion choice. I was walking the dog wearing them and got wolf whistled by some
undesirables Bradley Cooper lookalikes (hey, a girl can dream!) when their mate yelled out "But those velour shorts are rank!" The self conscious teenager in me died from embarrassment, but after a minute or so I realised I really didn't care. They're so, so easy to wear (unbelievably comfortable) and this outfit is a classic example. Love them so much here is a little edit of my favourite, from £35 to £350…
I mentioned the top in my shopping edit a couple of weeks ago - it's a River Island baby. In the same post I said how impressed by RI I am this season, this shirt is a prime example. It's £30, and looks and feels much more expensive. I've worn it to death already; its great for dressing up with jeans or layering under cropped jumpers.
The shoes were a present from L.K Bennett when I went to visit them a few weeks ago - and it's love. They're from the Laura Bailey collaboration and at first I wasn't quite sure about them as I'm so boring with my shoe choices but actually they've taught me to be a little bolder - I get so many compliments in them, they're like a "feel good shoe."
My bag I pinched from Anneli as we met up to do some pictures together and I realised I didn't have anything to put my stuff in; it's from Karen Millen (again, hugely impressed with their spring/summer collection - in fact I may do my Shop Sunday about them this week…). The double suede somehow works even though it really shouldn't… This is about as "on trend" as I'll ever get - and I'll wear all the individual pieces with loads of different outfits so I don't feel at all guilty about it!
