[Craving] Burberry Orchard Bag

I love me a good handbag I do, and I'm in the market for a new one.  I am lucky enough to have a really nice collection of them through sample sales and a generous boyfriend - but I haven't had a new one for over a year and I'm thinking now might be the time to invest. As if fate was listening, a friend forwarded me an article about the new It bag. And it's a beauty...

I absolutely love it; the soft hexagonal shape, the 'town and country' themed colours... Ahhh.  In fact any of the Burberry AW12 collection would go down well with me...  It seems I'm not alone in my love for this bag either, most of my favourite style icons have been spotted sporting the tote too.  I love the autumnal shades that Rosie and Blake have paired their bags with.  Their relaxed-chic is exactly the kind of look I aspire to.

The size is a brilliant size, not too oversized yet large enough for the day to day.  I've been doing some research on it and have decided it is time to splurge.  Burberry's bags are such good quality, I have a black leather one which is very old and I used it every day for 3 years as my work-bag.  It still looks brand new, and I haven't even spray protected it.  It's been in snow, hail, sand, sick (not mine, eew)... the works.  I'll try to remember to include it in an outfit post soon...  As a final nod, a friend pointed out that the Orchard has a dog on it - IT WAS MADE FOR ME...

You can buy the bag online at Net A Porter, but from the looks of things their buying team didn't predict it being such a success as they only have two available (here and here) for £1295.  Gosh that is a lot of money, but sometimes all sense goes out of the window when lust kicks in.  I think this calls for a trip to their new Regent Street flagship store.  Credit card beware...

I really love this, it's so unusual. It doesn't really seem like a trend piece either so while the shape of it isn't 'classic' you'll still get years of use out of it...well worth the splurge! I'm still in love with the Knight bag though and I'm not even a huge fan of studs xxx
