Amanda Brooks / Olivia Palermo
Ever since the shows last September I've been craving more safari orientated pieces - where a definite trend throughout the SS12 runways. Cowboy took a running jump and was replaced with 'utility clothing,' and I love it. Such easywear - and really very doable in British weather. I've been keeping an eye out for a good piece, but I really don't need a new coat as I have a couple that tick the boxes. So, I was delighted to find this little number from one of my favourite stores Zadig and Voltaire.
It's not a coat, it's a gilet - and I don't have a gilet, which validates the purchase. Zadig and Voltaire's stuff is so, so well made - more expensive than I was originally looking for but who cares, I'll still have it when I'm 70... £197 down... Gosh it's only Tuesday, this is an expensive week! Now to track down a belt to go with it...

Oooooh I love it! I prefer the gilet actually, can be combined in so many ways!
This is lovely! Have you seen a jacket like this in Zara with leather sleeves? It's so beautiful! xxx
