Red Valentino AW12

Sh*t me March, where the hell did you come from?! Suddenly it feels like spring, yay!  The boyfriend is in Boston this week with work which is slightly annoying because I've been unwell and it's horrible being unwell on your own.  Lopez has been my little doctor for the week.  I've also been working on a lovely promotion coming up with Cowshed for Mothers Day - starts tomorrow so keep your eyes peeled!  Any who, back to all things fashion...

I made a little discovery at the weekend that I somehow missed from NYFW... Red Valentino. I'm not really sure how I've managed to never find these collections before, as after drooling over their AW12 shots below, I spent a good hour on their website here.

I stumbled upon these photos over at a new blog I've been reading called Golden Mirrors and instantly loved them.  The look is very Upper East Side New York and Blair Waldorf combined with a bit of Victoriana and china doll themes.  The brocade jackets and Peter Pan collars = I love this whole idea, and really cannot wait for the high street to pick up on this.

Very nostalgic style - feminine too - looks like the Peter Pan collar trend is set to continue into autumn.

Yes very Blair- that's what I thought of even before I read your words! I've always always wished I had really good legs to get away with knee socks!

Oh, thanks a lot for mentioning me :) You described the collection perfectly, it's very Blair Waldorf with Victorian elements indeed.

Totally hadn't seen this and now want every single look. I've always loved knee socks, but they've never looked quite so chic.
