I've been lusting over an animal print coat for ages. Ever since my friend Natalie showed me her one, later snapped at Paris Fashion Week by Vanessa Jackman. It's a great add on piece - you can wear the most boring of trouser and top, but with a coat like that you can really make a statement.
It's a tough piece to get right - if the fur is cheap, it shows. Or, if the print looks a bit cheap, it shows. It's not the kind of thing you can get around, as my mother would say, 'If you pay peanuts you get monkeys.' So if you want to get the look properly then you need to pay a fairly decent sum for it. I was delighted to see that this printed blazer from Whistles is reduced - love their tailoring, couture quality almost.
It's not as garish as some (big tick from me, the reluctant trend shopper), which means you can probably wear it for longer (season wise). Reduced to £110, so still expensive enough to show it's worth (always nervous of £20 sale coats, if they can still shift them for that, then what did they cost to make in the first place!?). Buy it here, and then send me a picture of you in it - I want to do a post on the different looks people come up with wearing it!
