High Street: Balmain Inspired purchases...

I loved the AW11 Balmain collection so much - particularly all of the applique and texturing on their skirts and dresses.  Then Mila Kunis wore it to present the EMA's and Justin Timberlake touched her boobs, and I was like - GET ME ONE OF THOSE SKIRTS.  I loved it EVEN more when my friend at apairandaspare (you should follow her, she's frustratingly good at making things look very expensive very cheaply - and she's has amazing legs) made her own version of the look.  Here's her skirt, below, and here is how she made it - for those of you with greater patience than me - not a hard task I have to admit...

So my quest for the ultimate skirt of Timberlake touching dreams continued until my search found Mango.  I did an inside-shriek (anyone else do that?) when I saw it - it's gold, it's bling, it's short - it's what every girl needs at the moment.  It's £90 - but at this time of year you're going to be broke anyway, so you might as well be really, really broke - go big or go home...

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh go me.  I have found the skirt that will make pretty boys want to touch you - in a good way.  Thank me later.  Buy it here for £90.  Also, if you want to go all out then you could buy these shoes from Zara too - probably not to wear together but they definitely have the same trend going on.  Perhaps if you did the DIY on apairandaspare you could buy these instead!?

Zara heels, £70 - buy them here
