London Fashion Week, Look 2 - Printed Trousers

Second look to stem out of London Fashion wasn't massively surprising - printed trousers.  Cigarette pants and printed palazzo trousers from SS11 have merged together - and boy were there some bold prints on the catwalks in the capital.  Most of them worked around the floral trend, and lots were made from silk and none at all were in denim - so, sorry to all of those who bought into that trend.  They'll need to go away in the box with you harem pants for SS12...

Erdem and Mary Karantzou

Erdem, Clements Ribeiro, JW Anderson, Michael van der Ham and Mary Katrantzou all worked this look - teaming them with sharply tailored shirts quite often to tick the adrogony box that influenced so many collections this year.  Or, teamed with romantic floaty pieces - either way I would start negotiating with your dry cleaner coz it's going to get expensive with all this silk in your wardrobe... (Also silk isn't the best for dimples in the old thighs - so get running for that bus to work girls...)

Clements Ribeiro

Huge mix of prints and styles but the majority went for the softer colour tones, with exceptions like Mary Katrantzou and Micheal van der Ham (below) - and totally cheated with the plain turquoise trousers, but they are so pretty I couldn't not put them in...  Love this look, it'll be gorgeous in spring and will look great with my neutral tees and tanks at weekends.
