Missoni is definitely one of the most 'constant' fashion houses in the market. So much so, we have often contemplated buying a piece of it and adding it to our 'essentials' wardrobe. However, the high street has finally caught on - probably due to Miss Margherita Missoni popping up to everything (hate to sound harsh, but get the impression she would attend an opening of a tin can if she was told there was champagne there) looking gorgeous in her family's label.
The most well known zig zags in fashion can't be patented, or if they have, it was done badly. We love the new pieces popping up in our favourite high street stores. Here are our two favourite pieces, striped enough to be Missoni - but we've had enough of the crazy neons, so they are also more subdued than other stores' Missoni-esque bits:
Wear them with neutrals, and not a lot more colour. These patterns are meant to take centre stage. Team the cardigan with a pair of jeans and white tee at the weekend, and a classic grey marl shift dress for a jazzed up office outfit. The dress is crying out for some equally 60s platforms, but would look equally good with your simple ballet pumps or nude heels. Topshop and Miss Selfridge also have similar printed pieces - with the swinging 60/70s trend sweeping in. Overall, this look is fun and not to be overstyled - enjoy it!
