Having spent the afternoon walking around the West End, I've realised something - my grandmother's straw handbag is now socially acceptable. Not so much with the trousers that are always 4 inches too short, or the 'retro' glasses and blue rinse - but none the less, her straw shopper is en vogue! I spotted this lady (above) in a COS brown shirt dress and her little woven wonder today - and so am now determined to finding one of own. The best place would no doubt be a market in France or Spain - but since I'm not visiting those countries for a while, I've found a few on the high street...
Warehouse
Cath Kidston
Pieces @ ASOS
These are my three favourites - the Warehouse one is a great '2011' take on the piece, whilst Cath Kidston does what it does best and stick with the original. Pieces is a great little find through the ASOS site, it does gorgeous bags and accessories - this bag is just like a Fendi one at the moment - but about £500 cheaper!

I love straw bags, they are so easy to wear in summer. Primark have some good ones in too at the moment x
